Microphones
The M 19 was the first moving coil microphone build by Eugen Beyer back in 1939. It was used by the "Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellschaft" (RRG - former German Broadcasting Association) as standard microphone for outside broadcasting, after - as the legend has it - it survived falling out of a second floor window of the "Haus des Rundfunks" ("House of Broadcasting") in the Masurenallee in Berlin without any malfunction. Even after introducing sophisticated technical tests beyerdynamic microphones are still used continuously in various broadcast and television productions.
